Based on early projections, AIPMA seems to have met that goal as the annuity market continues its positive momentum as more consumers are looking for accumulation protected against market risk. Life insurance has renewed interest as more products are adding long-term care provisions and living benefit options to better fit into clients’ lifestyle needs. Final expense still resonates with some clients who may not qualify for traditional life insurance products but could get up to $25,000 for final expenses without a medical exam.

What is #TheRightMIXin26? There’s a couple of different combinations for this statement. Let’s start by focusing on your clients and prospects.
During an appointment, the conversation can go in many different directions in regard to retirement planning based on budget, age, marital status, children, and other variables.
It’s like playing Scrabble and picking your seven tiles to start the game. Some players will want to pick the easier letters (S,N,E,T,L,R) like they are competing in the final round of Wheel of Fortune. They want to score with longer words with guaranteed points over the duration of the game. Other players want some of those high-scoring, risky letters (K, Q, X, Z) in hopes of scoring bigger with a double or triple letter/word score.
However, most players understand how to line up these letters but need some advice on what letters/words would “score” the best for their retirement needs. They enlist financial professionals to assist as their “dictionary” for retirement planning options that may “score” better results for their future.
So what’s better for your clients? Spelling out “tense”, “life”, or “budget” over time or saving a few letters to spell out “quiz”, “flock”, or “whiz?” That’s why Scrabble incorporates a few blank tiles into the game as they allow players to pivot to a longer or better word when the situation arises.
Spelling out their options is very important as part of #TheRightMIXin26. Taking a minute for a life insurance policy review (LIPR) can assess their situation now and position these products for the future. Are they scared about the economy? An annuity can provide lifetime guaranteed income (based on the claims paying ability of the carrier) or short-term/long-term accumulation of tax-deferred income that typically is unaffected by market fluctuations. Financial advisors also could provide market-driven products that align their “tiles in a row” with their retirement planning. AIPMA leaves those conversations in your licensed hands.
