Community Involvement

From our Casual Friday donations to getting involved in our local community, AIP Marketing Alliance's employees believe in giving back to charities. We've made some Make-A-Wish dreams come true for children, helped build a playground, donated care packages for women's shelters, and even donned pink to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. How can we help your charity?

From our Casual Friday donations to getting involved in our local community, AIP Marketing Alliance's employees believe in giving back to charities. We've made some Make-A-Wish dreams come true for children, helped build a playground, donated care packages for women's shelters, and even donned pink to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. How can we help your charity?

At AIP Marketing Alliance, our employees enjoy giving back to the local community through our philanthropic work to support local Michigan and nationwide charity efforts.

Our team has helped to make six Make-A-Wish dreams come true through our annual donations. In 2019, our employees also sent off Lucas on a positive note as we greeted him at the airport!

We hope to continue this tradition along with helping many other worthy causes through our Casual for a Cause fundraising and individual team members' goals.

AIPMA in the Community

Whether inspired by an employee, cause, or a carrier, AIPMA believes in providing support toward philanthropic and fund-raising efforts within the Michigan area.

During our AIPMA Conferences, we usually incorporate “putt for charity” contests to benefit selected charities including the Alzheimer Association and the Wounded Warrior Project.

  • At the 2016 event, AIPMA partnered with Foresters Financial to make more than 500 care kits to donate to women’s shelters throughout Macomb and Oakland counties in Michigan.
  • In 2018, AIPMA partnered with Foresters Financial and KaBOOM! to build a giant playground in one day on Detroit’s west side near Telegraph and 7 Mile roads. Local Detroit TV station Fox 2 covered the event.
  • In 2019, Vice President of Marketing Darron Markwood was selected as a Real Men Wear Pink of Oakland County to support the American Cancer Society. Markwood and the team raised money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
  • In 2019, AIPMA teamed with Foresters Financial to donate 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to local elementary schools in our area.

Make-a-Wish Michigan

In December of 2013, AIPMA decided to forego our usual holiday appreciation gifts to members and carrier partners and chose to use those funds to grant a wish to a terminally ill child in our area through the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Following the overwhelming, positive feedback, the Make-a-Wish Michigan annual holiday tradition was born.

  • 2018: Lucas, 10, from Erie, Michigan wished to go to Hawaii. AIPMA’s employees gave Lucas and his entire family a sign-filled send off at the airport. Make-A-Wish Michigan also recorded the event!
  • 2017: Angelo, 7, from Oxford, Michigan wished to go to Disney World like many children. AIPMA’s employees were pleased to make that dream come true and even gave him a grand send off from the airport.
  • 2016: Bailey, 11, from Clinton Township, Michigan made a wish of going on a shopping spree. AIPMA’s employees gladly made that wish come true.
  • 2015: Abbas, 7, from Oakland County, Michigan also dreamed of going to Disney World for his wish. AIPMA’s employees were happy to make that dream come true and even wished him off from the airport.
  • 2014: Ian, 8, from Clarkston, Michigan dreamed of going to Disney World to meet all of the princesses. AIPMA could think of no better gift for an 8-year old and granted his wish.
  • 2013: Saraiah, 4, from Grand Rapids, Michigan made a wish to visit the San Diego Zoo. AIPMA was honored to make that dream come true.

Casual for a Cause

Team members donate $5 weekly for “casual Friday” attire, and then we spin our “charity wheel” to pick where our “Casual for a Cause” funds are donated on a quarterly basis. AIPMA matches the total amount donated and each employee submits their choice of charities to receive the funds.

Since its inception, AIPMA has donated to the following organizations: Alzheimer Association; Angels of Hope; Better Life for Canine Center; Boys and Girls Club; Capuchin Soup Kitchen; C.A.T.C.H.; Children’s Miracle Network; Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation; Detroit Dog Rescue; Forgotten Harvest; Friends of Ryan Kennedy Foundation; Gleaners Food Bank; Lighthouse of Oakland County; Leader Dog for the Blind; Michigan Humane Society; New Beginnings Animal Rescue; Ronald McDonald House; St Jude Children’s Research Hospital; Salvation Army; The Bonnell Foundation; The Eimer’s Foundation; Toys for Tots; Troy Athens High School; University Hills Elementary PTA; and the Wounded Warrior Project.
