The AIP Marketing Alliance team enjoys giving back to our local community! At our recent Q1 employee meeting, we spun the wheel and chose eight new charities to benefit from the AIPMA Casual for a Cause program. Each staff member donates $15 per quarter in exchange for the privilege of wearing casual attire to the office, and AIPMA matches the total amount donated to make our team’s gift even more meaningful for the organizations in need.

Employees submitted the names of their favorite causes, and using our online “charity wheel,” selections were made for the last three quarters of 2023, all four quarters of 2024, and the first quarter of 2025. Between the staff contributions and the matching by AIPMA, we were able to donate a total of $4,980!

Here are the eight recipients that will benefit from our efforts:

• Fredi The PizzaMan Foundation – Works to equip sensory rooms in Michigan Schools and public spaces including 2 major arenas. The foundation also focuses on Autism Acceptance and honoring ASD teachers for the great work they provide for the children. (Nominated by Darron Markwood)
• Berkley Cares Food Pantry - Established to help address the growing need for food assistance in Oakland County, Michigan by providing perishable and non-perishable goods to neighbors in need. The pantry serves individuals & families, seniors, veterans/military families, the displaced community, the unemployed, and the working poor. (Nominated by Emmy Giampa)
• New Beginnings Animal Rescue – A no-kill, non-profit cat rescue that focuses on providing the best care for the cats in their facility as they work diligently towards finding loving, adoptive homes for them. Located in Royal Oak, Michigan, New Beginnings Animal Rescue is completely run on volunteers, fosters, and donations. (Nominated by Nanci Murphy)
• Ladies of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul of Oakland County - Partnering with approximately 47 social service agencies, the Ladies of Charity operates a Clothes Closet/Food Pantry supplying groceries, clothing, and household goods to needy individuals and families in Oakland County, Michigan. (Nominated by Colleen Bartoletti)
• Furever Tails Animal Rescue – This non-profit, no-kill, foster-home based animal rescue has a mission to “Rescue, Rehome and Reunite!” Located in Oakland Township, Michigan, Furever Tails rescues animals at risk of being euthanized in high-kill shelters and intakes surrendered animals based on foster home availability. They also work to reunite misplaced animals with their rightful owners. (Nominated by Kym Kisser)
• St. Leo's Soup Kitchen – A non-profit, non-denominational organization that strives to provide sustenance and other social services as needed to less fortunate members of the Detroit community at no cost to all who come. (Nominated by Colleen Bartoletti)
• HAVEN of Oakland County – HAVEN is a nationally recognized nonprofit leader that provides comprehensive programs to promote violence-free homes and communities. Serving survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault for over 50 years. (Nominated by Colleen Bartoletti)
• Gilian Kennedy’s Healing Journey – On February 12th, 2025, Gilian was involved in a terrible car accident. She suffered major brain trauma and is slowly recovering from her injuries. AIPMA employee Emmy Giampa is Gilian’s sister and organized a fundraiser to assist with her healing journey. (Nominated by the AIPMA team)

Since the inception of the Casual for a Cause program, AIPMA and its team have donated to almost 40 worthwhile organizations making a real difference in the Metro Detroit area and beyond.
