Last week, the AIP Marketing Alliance team also received a little surprise in our office as Rick, Kym, and Dave Kisser received the portrait picture of the soon-to-be added wood carving for Project Rock.

Let’s take a few steps back to explain this in more detail. Integrity has a tradition of assigning a “project name” when launching a new strategic partner into their world. In recognition of joining Integrity, the owners get to choose the name and then an artist carves an image into a large wooden piece for display at Integrity’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

“For more than 40 years, AIPMA has grown from our hometown roots here in Troy, Michigan, so we put some thought into our project name and how our company was going to be recognized among the many other wooden carvings at Integrity,” said Rick Kisser, President of AIPMA and Strategic Partner. “Everything really came together at that point, and the artist did a fantastic job of conceptualizing our ideas into AIPMA’s finished product.”

• Rick and Kym determined that Project Rock worked for us, because our office is located about 20 miles north of the city of Detroit.
• You also may have heard of a band called KISS, who were famous for a certain song called, “Detroit Rock City.”

As we refer back to the blog picture, you may notice a familiar likeness within the carving that may look like a famous posed guitar player from a certain band with an “army”, but you may get confused by another 1970s band’s initials that may be missing in the picture – with AC/DC replaced by CK/DK in each corner.

The “CK” and “DK” recognize the original AIP owners, Cheryl and Dave Kisser, as they started Assured Investment Planners back in 1981 as an independent retail financial planning firm selling life insurance and annuities to consumers. From that solid foundation, the firm has evolved into a national insurance wholesaler. The Kissers transitioned the company’s leadership to their children, Rick and Kym Kisser, who have helped AIPMA become a leading platform of services relied upon by agents and agencies nationwide.
