AIP Marketing Alliance is committed to the slogan, “Your Growth is Our Commitment,” and this year, our team focused on MORE in ’24 as our valued wholesalers and insurance carrier sponsors recently enjoyed two days in the Detroit suburb of Corktown for the 2024 Members in Motion Conference.

Having hosted this event for more than 20 times, AIPMA earmarks mid-September to host a two-day session filled with educational presentations from insurance carriers, breakout sessions, and a litany of social events to balance out the education and fun. Everyone enjoys the one-on-one time as well as the activities to take home new sales ideas, learn about new products, and unwind from the day-to-day business activities.

This year, AIPMA scheduled the Members in Motion Conference at a newer hotel, The Godfrey Detroit, which is situated in the suburb of Corktown. The host location did not disappoint with a delicious menu, scenic views of downtown Detroit, an open-air restaurant (in perfect weather), and an assortment of food and beverages to appease all our guests’ palates.

Our team kicked off the event Tuesday night with two speaking sessions and culminated with a social cocktail and dinner gathering in the rooftop restaurant. As always, the most popular part of the event was Jasen Magic performing tableside acts for our members including an assortment of card tricks and money sleight of hand magic.

Wednesday was a full day activity for everyone. Kicked off with a spectacular national anthem sung by AIPMA’s American Idol Abagail Sand, we started with a moment of silence to remember 9/11 and then jumped into carrier speaking sessions. The rest of the morning was alternated by carrier speakers as well as a few roundtable breakout sessions.

For the afternoon, everyone walked across the street to The Yard at Corktown/Detroit Axe where everyone enjoyed the festive atmosphere with cornhole, axe throwing, board games, delectable food, life-size beer pong, and much more. The 75-degree September weather in Michigan set up perfectly for the outdoors as everyone relaxed and took advantage of the environment.

The event culminated with a sit-down dinner followed by our popular, Casino Night! Everyone intermixed between games of chance including blackjack, craps, Texas Hold’em, roulette, and other popular games. Participants changed in their chips for raffle tickets for the opportunity to win amazing prizes, which ranged from a Solo Stove and Blackstone grill to a Bourbon of the Month club. One member won all three of those prizes as the luck of the draw was with him.
