National Volunteer Week, April 18-24, is a great time to support charitable organizations in your area. During the last five years, AIP Marketing Alliance has worked with Foresters Financial on multiple events designed to give back to our local Metro Detroit communities. Some of our past events have included:

• 2016: AIPMA and Foresters assembled more than 500 personal care kits to donate to women’s shelters throughout Macomb and Oakland counties in Michigan.
• 2018: Our team participated in an event to help build a giant playground in one day on Detroit’s west side near Telegraph and 7 Mile roads. Local Detroit TV station Fox 2 covered this event.
• 2019: At our annual conference, AIPMA’s wholesalers and agents teamed with Foresters to assemble and donate 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to local elementary schools in the Metro-Detroit area.

AIPMA’s team also has instituted a Casual for a Cause program to donate to local Michigan charities and participated in other philanthropic events, including Real Men Wear Pink for the American Cancer Society. Once the pandemic has subsided and AIPMA returns to the office, our team hopes to get involved again with helping our local community through volunteer efforts.

Foresters Supports Our Local Communities

As a Foresters member you also can make a difference in your community. An agent or client who is an insured under an in-force Foresters life insurance certificate qualifies as a Foresters member.

Foresters Community Grants allow members to plan local activities for their families and other Foresters members, creating exciting volunteer opportunities. Foresters’ members can apply for up to $2,000 in funding, and take advantage of tools and resources to help host a local volunteer event. For example, you and your family members might put together hygiene kits for a local homeless shelter, comfort kits for children in crisis or back-to-school kits for kids.

Make an IMPACT is a new benefit that helps you make a difference in your community with a one-time grant of $200.

Members can apply in a just a few simple steps and are encouraged to share success stories on social media to help inspire others.
